Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi, Is there anything I need to know about installing a Turbo front bumper on my 2002 C2 Cab? I have heard that you need to adjust the mounting brackets. Questions: 1. Can you use the same hardware from the current bumper? If No, what needs to be done? 2. Is there any issues with Air intake and Radiators on the front? 3. Headlight seal/trim on the bumper? is there a part number for this rubber trim? 4. Is it a simple swap of bumpers or is there anything I need to tell the body shop to watch out for? Thanks a lot....

POST 2Original post

I have done this so I will tell you what I know 1) Yes and know, you can use all of the same bolts they bolt up in the same locations as your current one does( bottom ones need brackets) 2) There is NO issues but you should know they will not line up, but really its very hard to see this. 3) First off The headligh trims you have WILL NOT work on the new TT bumper.you need TT ones.I dont have the Part nimber handy sorry. 4) On the bottom of the bumber you will need to make 3 04 4 metal extesions, this will be needed for bolting up the bottom ,the TT is a bit longer. I say if the body shop is a good one they will know how to to this. I say you try this your self if your handy with a wrench. My local dealer quoted me $ 900.00 to install it( yes just labour) I did this in my garage in less then 2 hours BY MY SELF. Hope this helps
