Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have an 01 996 cab. The rear trim that covers the pop-up roll bars that runs the full width of the car, directly above and behind the rear seat backs, is loose on the drivers side. I need to remove it to inspect/repair/replace. I have accessed an online manual that shows some basic diagrams and instructs to remove the rear panel behind the rear seat backs - easier said than done. This panel is held in place with 2 screws (easy) AND the front edge of the pop up cover (bummer). It seems that I may need to remove the rear seat backs in order to remove the panel. Any one had experience in removing the pop-up cover or rear panel?

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Update. There is one screw at the rear center on the full-width cover. Then remove the two oval inserts to expose two more screws - and the cover comes off. https://rennlist.com/forums/997-foru...t-a-997-a.html
