Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

All: I'm looking to buy a 996 and need to find a good mechanic for the PPI and future maintainence. Any recomendations? Jim N.

POST 2Original post

I used Sewickly Car Store for my PPI when I purchased my 99 a couple of years ago. I thought they did an honest job. There is also John Raysich in Bridgeville. He was recommended to me when I was looking. Never met the guy, but I did speak with him on the phone.

POST 3Original post

EuroTech on Rt. 51 near the Liberty Tunnels. Frank and Neil really know their imports. I believe Neil was Porsche factory trained. Only downside is they sometimes have a waiting list, so just plan on giving yourself at least a one week jump on that PPI.
