I just use those bundled rags you can get from Autozone that have like loose threads hanging (not smooth rags).

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

take a look at the link down below, the new wheels photo album....i spent a considerable amount of time researching this, and i ended up choosing an old childhood favorite of mine, the c2 3.6 Turbo wheel used years ago. actually, i saw a car at the Feb 7 rally here in Los Angeles with this same setup (almost same color car) and i fell in love with it. the guys/gals at Wheel Enhancement (los angeles) were true professionals, not pressuring me one way or the other, but helping me make the best choice possible. most people actually liked the BBS RS GT's and LM's most, many liked the HRE's as well, but i had a budget to work in, and for whatever i chose these over the rest. the only question in my mind (EVEN AFTER seeing the other wheels placed next to the car) is if i did the right thing for THIS car. it is conservatively dressed in Ocean Blue and Beige Leather along with RoW M030, i just didn't think that the "mesh" rally/sport wheels did the car justice. maybe i was way wrong. anyhow, let me know what you think. thanks as always. click on the link below (porsche pics)

POST 2Original post

i like the wheels. i think you made a good choice!

POST 4Original post

Wheels look great! I stopped by Wheel Enhancement to talk to them a few weeks ago and they were very nice and helpful. I think I'm going to budget for some19" HRE's. I like the way they look in the polish finish. It looks like your offset is just right for your car too.

POST 6Original post

I'll be honest. They aren't bad. For some reason, I'll bet they look better in person though. As long as you like 'em

POST 7Original post

For some reason they look like they would look real nice on a 993 - I don't know why I think that, but they still look sharp.

POST 9Original post

Nice - Looks Classic and Bad A$$ at the same time.

POST 10Original post

Cool, I just bought a set of bbs re's off wheel enhancement. Going to pick the car up today from not having it for 6 mo! from my accident.

POST 11Original post

Very classic look. What's your next mod??? I think you have the record for most number of mods in the least amount of time.

POST 12 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

the other alternatives were the BBS LM OR OR i just didn't think the color combo of the car (blue/beige interior) threw off that rally-car look, why i stayed away from the mesh. i also wanted to keep my center caps. do the wheels look that bad? i'm worried.

POST 13Original post

My favorite wheels. Good choice. Have them on my 964 and love them.

POST 14Original post

I also like the new Porsche 5 spoke wheel or the one in the bottom picture. They look really cool on the 996s.

POST 15 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

DJ, good stuff! my wife doesn't think it's as great as i do, but i've been wanting one of these cars for a LONG, LONG time. you should have seen the Karmann Ghia Convertible we put together, from scratch (at least that investment returned 100%). anyhow, i think the mods are done for a while, i am having the GHL mufflers installed tomorrow. so far, in three weeks, i have -B&M ssk -RoW M030 -Pilot Sports -GHL exhaust -RH C2 Turbo wheels i don't care about audio (been there, done that, especially in the home) and care more about the car's performance and looks. the only thing that is left, and that has causing me restless nights, is a possible front new front nose. any thoughts?

POST 16Original post

I think those wheels look great! they don't look too easy to clean though

POST 17Original post

There are not too bad. I just use those bundled rags you can get from Autozone that have like loose threads hanging (not smooth rags). Takes about 5 minutes if you stay on top of them to wipe them down good. I don't drive it very much though and staying on top of it is important. Once it gets baked on, the job gets much harder.
