Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

No, I think you may be the one smoking something. Don't you know the difference between OEM parts and genuine Porsche parts? Just because a pad is sold by the company which supplies Porsche doesn't make it the same part.
well, sunset porsche in oregon sells brake pads WAY beyond those prices (claim they sell at cost + 15%). all parts are OEM according to sunset, who say they are not allowed to sell anything else as a licensed Porsche dealer.
Dealers shouldn't be selling OEM parts. They should sell Genuine Porsche Parts. I wouldn't buy OEM parts as they are not necessarily made to the same specifications. This is especially true of brake parts.
Sorry, that was confusing Viken. By OEM, I meant Porsche parts, which is what the dealer told me. Doesn't OEM mean Original Equipment Manufacturer, i.e. the manufacturer of the original parts that come on a new car...?
Yes. OEM means original equipment manufacturer and not genuine Porsche part. For example, Textar and Jurid are two of the brake pad manufacturers for Porsche. They also sells pads under their own name rather than a Porsche logo and part number on the box. Those OEM pads are not made to the same specifications as the ones made for Porsche to be sold by the dealers.
Nick, if it's the dealer on I-10 be sure and mention you(you are I hope
) are a PCA member for a 10-20% discount. The other dealer in town will not give a PCA discount. I recall I paid less than $200 for front and rears.
Those are great prices on the pads, do you have a power bleeder iso you can bleed the brakes at the same time? Are you going up to the DE this weekend?
I just ordered my brake pads from The Parts Bin and the guy I spoke with said these are indeed "genuine Porsche Parts" and will come in the Porsche box with the Porsche P/N on them.
