If I offend anyone from the power number, or if it is going to turn this post into an argument, I wil gladly change the power number to 300 hp.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

21 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I thought before it sells, and I never see it again, I would post some video of all it's glory! I am gonna miss her. I have owned the car for 14 years!! The Dyno video was at only 14 psi of boost (1.9 bar) and 16 degrees and the burnout was at 18 psi and 16 degrees, It is now at 19 spi and 18 degrees(timing). Enjoy. Your flash player may not be working. After the site loads look above the window, click "switch to Windows Media Player". I know this as thats what I had to do to get it to work for me. Regards...

Nitrorocket, Very Nice Car!!! All the best, Kevin

POST 10Original post

Cute Kid. I am slowly brain washing my son into being a petrol-head.

POST 13Original post

nitro - that did not sound like a 1000hp car! The cam sounds STOCK, I am trying to figure out how an LS-1 with 18lbs of boost can make 1000hp, I dont see how. My 600hp '69 Camaro sounded like it could pull your car with the pass you made showing the gauges, it didnt even wrap high. I only had one gear in that car and it was the last one, drive, first and second were unusualble. On the highway at speed I could spin the tires in drive or 1:1 at 600hp. Your car if it really made 1000hp, which it would have to make even more in torque would've banged the rev limiter in any gear with any street legal slick at the weight you said it claimed. Since it acceptable to put videos like this on Rennlist, I will be posting my fathers 850hp 505c.i. '69 Camaro on the street with 32 X 15 inch slicks and show you how a car really can spin massive slicks and bang the rev limiter using a powerglide transmission. I hope you were just not mashing it all the way because with 1000hp on tap, there shouldnt be a hint of traction in any gear and just about any speed. Now I am through ranting and you do have a nice car but the numbers and performance dont add up with me.

POST 17 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The car puts over 800 RWHP to the tires, say what you want, figure that out at the crank with a full race T400 and a 12 bolt. Whether it makes 950 or 1050 at the crank, I dont care, I say it's got 1000 hp. I am not on here to B.S. Why would an LS1 not put down that much power? The motor makes 400 rwhp without the turbos, and I am at 19 psi with 18 degrees of timing right now with twin GT35R turbos. Call some LS1 turbo shops and ask around once. The car was not floored untill 3rd gear. Without a burnout, the car will spin the tires at speeds even above 120 mph! Also, as anyone with a turbo car knows, they are not loud, the car idles at 750 rpm and is super quiet.

POST 18Original post

That first burn out video with your little girl reminded me of one of the Powerade commercials where the little kid kicks a football and it never comes down...

POST 19Original post

Very plausible and with all due respect quite do-able with todays technology and superior bolt on's. Not to mention the attention to detail I see in the car itself. Heck, pro-stock normally aspirated motors were doing 1100HP 20 years ago! I might go out on a limb and say that someone is envious of your machine. You have a great car and worth showing off. eric

POST 20Original post

Nitrorocket - That is one sick car. However many horsepower it has it kicks some serious tail. Best wishes with the family and the sale of the car.

POST 21 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks guys! If I offend anyone from the power number, or if it is going to turn this post into an argument, I wil gladly change the power number to 300 hp. Thanks!! Why am I selling the car?? I have always wanted a Porsche, and after owning this car for 14 years, it is time for something different.
