Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Yes, we did test the two back to back on a 993 C4S and the Rosso didn't even come close in dry performance.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

If you are referring to Porsche installed tires, there are:
- P-Zero Asimmetrico
- P-Zero Rosso Asimmetrico
The latter is a newer design offering a quieter and more comfortable ride. The former would have a slightly better dry performance.

I've driven both, and my preference is the Rosso Asimmetrico. While the PZ/A has a higher level of traction, the breakaway/point of lost traction (again, my opinion) is a bit ragged, sudden, and not very predictable, while the PZ/RA "drops off" very smoothly and with good control.
Of course, you should purchase the type of tire that fits your style of driving and that meets your performance requirements.

Viken, do you really think the Asimmetrico offers better dry performance than the Rosso?
One of the biggest advantages of the Rosso that I see is the lower unsprung weight. It is much lighter.

Yes, we did test the two back to back on a 993 C4S and the Rosso didn't even come close in dry performance. However, it was better in the wet and was quieter. I imagine the Rosso is a better choice for the 996 which has a more developed chassis.
I don't know anything about their weight differences but I think that would have a not so noticeable effect on handling.
If they were factory installed, they are Rosso Asimmetrico's. That is what Porsche installed on the 996. The Rosso Direzionale was only installed on the Boxster.
