I've been following all the great posts about muffler upgrades and I'm sold on PSE over all the others for my MY99 996. If you have PSE installed on your 996: 1) where did you buy it, 2) when, 3) what did you pay, and 4) would your recommend the same dealer as a great place for everyone else to use for the purchase of PSE? Also, I'll probably DIY using Loren's DIY instructions, so if you could give me your thoughts on that too I'd greatly appreciate them. I got them from a dealership in PA when they were on sale. Unfortunately, the sale is now over. I believe the best way to find a good price would be to shop around dealerhips and the sponsors of rennlist. Easy DIY. Here is my thread on it : PSE

I found perhaps the best way to go to a PSE... Performanceproducts.com (formerly Automotion) is selling a quazi PSE setup for under $1000 delivered. It is the same stamped stainless, but without the silencer valve that most are not using anyways. Looks exactly like OEM, and Dansk actually does a lot of OEM work for the factory. I don't see any downside on this - mine are arriving on Tuesday. I will post the results, including how the installation went.
