Hi Guys Just purchased a C4S fitted with Gemablla Sport Springs by the dealer. I need to know the spring rate of these - the dealer can't provide me with a part number, they just fit whatever Gemballa recommend. Anyone know the rate for standard 4S springs ? The Gemballa's seem very stiff, so much that I feel a 4 hour drive would be uncomfortable, but this is my first time with a 996 so I don't have a benchmark. I can get the dealer to re-fit the original Porsche springs if neccessary. What do you reckon ?

Hi Mike. Do you know if you bought the " PROGRESSIVE " spring kit or the " RACE " spring kit ? They will be different. Also keep in mind, if you did not change shocks, the car will also feel different since shock valve is depressed with lower ride height of car. Sport shocks will have proper valving with lowering springs ride height ..... ala MO30 kit. Theo

Drove a standard C4S yesterday and I'll be getting the dealer to re-fit the original springs ! The car was a ready-to-go dealer model prefitted with these springs. Anyway next year maybe a set of shocks all round Thanks for advice.
