Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

We were Blessed!! The weather held up for us. Not a drop of rain inspite of "showers and thunderstorm" prediction. We almost canceled this tour but
DON
with his infinite wisdom insisted in going for it. With a reminder from
REBECCA
that Porsches do not melt in the rain, we went for it. With clouds overhead but dry roads, most of the lower peninsula drivers met at 830am by the Sunoco gas station at Indian River Rd and I-64. We then rendezvous with the rest of the group at Cosmos in Porthsmouth and began the gorgeous drive through highway 10 towards Surry. After over an hour of real fun driving, we met up with the Richmond folks at Va Diner for lunch. It was good to see some old friends like Keith (Arena Red 993 C4S), Rebecca and Mark(I like the hair and the cool driving shoes Rebecca!). I felt like I was at VIR seeing these folks
Lots of porsche stories to tell. After few minutes of p talk at the parking lot, north bound and south bound drivers parted ways to have more fun in the twisties of Surry.
The only thing I don't like about these meet is there is not enough time to talk with everyone
Everyone was back home safely at 3PM...dry
Thanks a lot to
DON
who organized this scenic tour, Trully outstanding route. Thanks also to
REBECCA
in bringing down the Richmond drivers to meet us halfway at the Virginia Diner(no affiliation). Thanks to
JIM HALTOM
for his hard work in covering the video work.
There are many more other cars than what we have in this pictures. Everyone was scattered a bit in the parking lot so I didn't a chance to take pix of everyone's car in which I apologize.
Thanks to John(Seal Gray 997 for the lunch
)
Video to follow.
TWO OF OUR DRIVERS SOLD THEIR CARS TO THIS DEALERSHIP!! J/K
Porsche Mut
WOW!!! $2.27 is right....cheap! I just paid $2.77 here in Las Vegas.
Great pics Mike, thanks for sharing. Can't wait to get back to NOVA and join in on the fun.
BTW, that camera suctioned to the front of the BMW looks like an accident waiting to happen. Not sure I would put mine ouside the car. Way to scary on the pocketbook
Hey LVDell, Thanks. Hope to catch you in one of the runs this year.
About the camera, that's what I was thinking too during the drive but believe it or not it held at real
high
speeds. I was even that it's probably safer for the camera to have a safety cable just in case the suction cups lets go.
Mike,
Once again... great pics and thanks for sharing. I love the camera mount on the bimmer. BTW, el cheapo gas here in So. Cal is ~$2.60/gal. So that makes the race gas at ~$5.95/gal a great deal.
Cheers,
Hopefully, this time next year my user ID willl change from LVDell to DCDell or VADell. Only 12 months left in the crappy desert. Fun to visit, not to live. Can't wait to join up on the drives!
BTW, is it just me or is the front 3/4 shot of that grey 997 in front of the used auto dealer remind anybody of Ferrari lines, mirrors, etc.?
Gas here in the high desert is $2.49 which is lower than a lot of places but the crap here is only 91 octane if your lucky. No VP stations here to play around with. In Ft Lauderdale where I lived for 12 years 102 octane was $2.99 gal but I am sure it's higher now.
