Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I got the car in last Friday; but, between an out of town trip, rain, and a million other lame excuses I haven't had a chance to take any good pictures.
The car is #590 out of 1963. The mileage was 8,396 and the car comes with a new CPO warranty. I'm the second owner.
This is my second 911. My first was a 1996 993 C4S I sold a couple of years ago. The difference between the two cars in sound, looks, etc. is amazing!
I did get some pictures of the car being unloaded....I promise to get some better pictures this weekend!
The easy answer is both of them because they are different cars!
There are many reasons that have been recounted in many other postings from people who are a lot more experienced than I am at categorizing the differences.
When pressed I have to admit that I actually prefer the 40th.
I love the look of the 993 and the sound of the air-cooled six is exceptional.
However, the 996 is MUCH more comfortable for my style of driving (street) and the extra power of the X-51 that is standard with the 40th is really appreciated.
I briefly thought about another 993. However, the newest ones are 10 years old now and I really wanted something with a warranty.
My choices when looking were a new 997 or a 996 that was "different". I decided on the 40th for the price, uniqueness, and looks!
The Anniversary cars are Narrow Bodies with the turbo nose.
The standard "features" are:
X-51 power package
LSD
PSM
Turbo bumper (with side vents painted body color)
CGT Silver
Polished wheels
Special texture leather
Heated seats
Various "metallic" accents
Fitted luggage, wallet, and key case
Special badges
My options are:
Comfort seats
Bose sound system
6-disc cd changer
rear wiper
Very nice, I like how the delivery is kind of like unwrapping a Christmas present or a stripper popping out of the top of a cake. Nice wheels, nice color. Man if I could do it again I would have waited for a 40th!
Nice, I bought one (#158) around the same time. Love it so far. Just did a exhaust mod, sounds much better and it seems to have even more power. She got to breath!
Welcome to Rennlist and you have a beautiful new car, which is the good news. Ok here comes the bad, Welcome to Rennlist now it is time for the modification bugs to hit. Behind this door are the cheap modifications like changing out you pumpkin side markers to clear to the more expensive EVO intake and RSS plenum. This is really a wonderful site but the good idea fairies will separate you from your money! Again nice car and thanks for the pics.
