Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.
Discussions that contain suggestions

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Suggestion
You have to use your whole foot to press the clutch down.
Leading evidence: 'Use whole foot' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Use whole foot' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I broke my right foot yesterday on a military airborne jump.
Guess I'll have to take it easy for a while. Unfortunately that also means I'll have to re-do the last two weeks of training once it heals. Oh well.
Anybody every drive with a cast?
I broke my left ankle in Feb. I have plate and screws in now and was in a "airboot". I couldn't drive my car for a month and it drove me crazy. Finally I gave in and tried with the boot. It wasn't too bad. You have to use your whole foot to press the clutch down. I only hit the brake accidentally once on the freeway. Not bad once I used to it. With a cast on the right foot, I think there is less chance of hitting another pedal. Just make sure that you can sit without your foot getting swollen before you try. Good luck!
Sorry about your foot - Maybe if you're really good with the cruise control...............
I also second Jason's comment - thanks for your service. Jumping out of perfectly good airplanes requires more "intestinal fortitude" than I have.
Thank you for your service.
I broke my left ankle last May (playing basketball w/11 yr. olds.
) and like Kevin had an air-boot. I didn't drive for the first month or so, but finally gave in. It's possible, I'd think it'd be harder w/your right because you'd lose your agility/sensitivity.
A few years ago I had to drive myself from my cottage to hospital with 2 broken toes and 2 "foot bones" in my left foot...took nearly 1.5 excruciating hours...this is after I thought I had just dislocated my toes and tried to pop them back in ...mistake... the air boot they put on was great and I modified the base for easier driving..good luck with your foot!
I was informed by a friend , whose wife drove with her walking cast, that if you are directed not to drive by a doctor that your insurance company has the right to deny all coverage. be careful out there.

I had my left ankle surgically rebuilt a few years back after I shredded two out of three ligaments in the ankle and had them replaced. Driving with no left ankle is VERY challenging, especially on something like a Porsche with a relatively heavy clutch. The gas/brake pedals, on the other hand, are powered, so driving with a bad right foot should be pretty manageable. I finally had to borrow a friend's car with an auto tranny until my ankle healed enough to work a clutch.

I found I couldn't drive a Porsche with a right foot hard cast. I'd also be concerned about liability in the event an accident occurred and the physical limitation were noted. The Porsche might make you a juicy legal target. AS
