Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Also, I do have 18 inch wheels, but I am using those on the track.
Leading evidence: 'Use those' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). That's what a lot of people run which is better than the stock size.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I need new tires for my 2000 C2. I have 205/50 17 front and 255/40 17 back. I currently have Bridgestone S-03 on my car. I was surprised to learn that you cannot order the front tires on 205/50 17 for the S03 anymore. So, I looked at the selection on TireRack. I prefer Bridgestone or Michelin. Turns out that the new tires Michelin Sport PS2 and Bridgestone S-03 does not come with 205/50 17 anymore. So, what to do? Michelin comes in 205/

17 so they are a bit more low profile. Would that be acceptable or do I need to go with the old S-02 or Michelin Sport? I would like to hear from other people with a 2000 C2 that may have had the same problem. What did you do? I would hate to have to buy old technology. Thanks, Tom.
These numbers can make you nuts, especially when you try to micro manage the size to the expected performance. I have a bunch of 18 and 17 rims with various tires in my back yard which I pick and choose for a given use. The 18 inchers have easier and more varied tire selection and there are alot of them on ebay with and without tires, so you can get turbotwists cheap. Same car as you also, stock. recommended tires are 18 or 17 so you are in the ballpark..
This is good advice, it will help give the front end some much needed grip. I've long advocated that the engineers at Porsche neutered our cars by speccing them with 205s on the front!
arenared, Thanks for your advise. Are you saying get 225 /457 rims or will the tires fit my 205 / 50 17's? Also, I do have 18 inch wheels, but I am using those on the track. Tom.
Hmmm... Didn't quite follow that, but you should get 225/45R17 tires which should fit your stock front rims. The S-03s in that size are spec'ed to fit 7" to 8.5" rims.
