Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. and I am running 295/30/19's in the back, so lowering the rear is out of the question for me....

I see your point FLY, but the good thing is that fty can enjoy the new look on his ride and change into a new set-up later on ....

Im running a 275/35 in the rear which is a 10.8in tire on an 11in wheel....glad I made that decision a 295 would rub definately and a 285 would be dangerously close.

You can use forza 3 to get an idea of what color and style of wheels would look good.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Well finally got around to installing the H&R springs and my new wheels and tires came in the mail...finally. Remeber black and tans are not only a great beer but a pretty good look, I think. Wheels are Zehn 18" and tires are Hankooks, Lowered on H&R springs. Black 911 emblem on rear and finally aligned the exhuast tips with the fabspeed clamps. What do you guys think...???
I am very happy with the look...items up next are black Porsche centers and a black bolt in rollbar. BIG THANK YOU to
adg44
for his
spring install
, it put me at ease installing the springs....much less work than the factory manuals call for.
Tim eat your heart out.....

looks awesome!! kick *** pics , too......the Black and tan is a great color combo, for sure.....
Do you have rear spacers? the fronts are sitting just right...the rears... I dunno if it's the size of the rear tire , the offset, or a combination.... it seems there isn't any edge protection..
be very careful next to any curbs.....
With this setup I was able to eliminate the spacers that were on the car 13mm up front and 15mm in the rear, the rear tire Is slightly stretched abit due to concerns the tire would rub. Im running a 275/35 in the rear which is a 10.8in tire on an 11in wheel....glad I made that decision a 295 would rub definately and a 285 would be dangerously close. I will stay away from curbs.....Ive only curbed a wheel once and I swore to myself never again.
Thanks for the positive comments guys.
so you aren't running any spacers? what is the offset on the rear wheel?
and what kind of spacers did you remove? are they hubcentric with longer bolts...hmmmm
Oh yeah, and pick one of those many cool shots for your new avatar....
No spacers..offset is 55 rear 45 front.
Spacers are Hubcentric H&Rs 13mm front and 15mm rear...with 20 longer H&R wheel bolts...yes am going to put them up for sale.
HERE
Sorry, I have to go against the grain here...don't like such a straight/squared looking spoke design on an aero car...nice wheels, nice car, just think there are better wheel designs for that car...
ok, so check this out...my 19 X 8 fronts have a 57mm offset, but I just changed it with a 13mm spacer = a 44mm offset....
my 19 X 11 rears are 67mm offset and if I go with a 13mm spacer = a 54mm offset
so even though your wheels are 18's, the offsets seem dead on without spacers...
and I am running 295/30/19's in the back, so lowering the rear is out of the question for me....
I see your point FLY, but the good thing is that fty can enjoy the new look on his ride and change into a new set-up later on .... I have been debating going to some different wheels / color combo.... i need to learn how to photoshop....
I like the mods so far. Wheels toughen up the car and the springs dropped the body just enough. Id like to lower mine but im afraid Ill be banging the nose on approaches and speed bumps. Thanks for the before and afters...
Nice look! I picked up some VE wheels with same sizes and offsets (different style though) and trying to determine tire sizes. Are your fenders rolled in the back?
Nice looking car!
Unless you're tracking the car I'd think carefully about adding a roll bar. You give up a fair amount of usable space.
I used to have a B5 S4 and only recently sold it. I replaced it with a B8 S4 now that my 996 is pretty much track only.

You can add me to the "Like" column (as opposed to "Don't Like"). I love the contrast and the offset. Car looks "Really Bad" (Sorry for the '70's/'80's slang, but I just can't wrap my head around "Sick" as being good. But then "Bad" was "good" back then, so I guess it's OK.)
Right, I think you've proved my point...those cars are more square in design, thus that style wheel flows...seems to clash on the curvy aero...
...end of the day, you like it...all that really matters...
I do very much...big fan of flat/flush multi spoke wheels, which was the point I was making.
I dont mind the lack of space...if I have to hual something it goes in the saab or in the little ladies volvo. The 996 is my fun car. It may be tracked in the future. Audis rock, shoulda kept my B6 S4 for my daily..live and learn.
No the fenders arent rolled but I put a 275/35 tire on..slightly stretched (blame my audi/vw past for that) in order to clear the rear fender with 0 rubbing. Its a 10.8in tire on a 11in wheel. It looks like it just clears the fender the way it is.
Thanks for everyones Positive comments!!
