The wear looks even so alignment seems good, but I always have my alignment checked when I change tires just to be sure.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

17 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have never run tires down to the very end... However I think that these rears are done. Does anyone disagree?

POST 2Original post

agree, looks like your alignment is in good shape.

POST 3Original post

Yep. When they hit the wear markers it's time. The wear looks even so alignment seems good, but I always have my alignment checked when I change tires just to be sure.

POST 4Original post

They're not "oh my god, stop driving the car now" low, but it's probably time to start thinking about new tires in the next 500 miles or so.

POST 6Original post

I wouldn't drive 'em in the rain, but they're not that bad. I corded my last set of MPS's (without realizing they were that worn down) and they were wicked scary in the rain...... Oops......

POST 8Original post

Next time, get some directional tires (I'm assuming these are assymetrics). You can rotate them by re remounting them on the opposite side of the axle and get a lot more mileage out of them. If you look closely, the insides of the tires are worn much more than the outsides because of the heavy negative camber in the rear end.

POST 9Original post

yea you got Good Alignment. Should be good for about another 3000-4000 km But they must be Noisey now

POST 11Original post

Depends on your comfort level and the thickness of your wallet. I'd be OK with at least 500 more miles. Too bad you can't flip them side to side and get another 2K+ out of them like the Michelin PS2 N3 and some others. I know it's foolish to push your luck with tires and also realize that when some get that low the compound changes and the tires don't handle or grip very well.

POST 14Original post

If you don't drive a lot maybe they could last through the summer then, in the fall you could think about getting some for the spring 2013. Then the fronts will be old enough to replace so you can get a new set of 4.

POST 15Original post

If you not driving in the wet - these look fine ! I wouldn't want to be close to the cords though like one of the other poster's here.

POST 16Original post

My tires are somewhere between Fergus' and Derek's. Still feel ok on dry roads but a real lesson in smooth inputs when it's raining! Now it's time to find the right replacements that will stick like glue in all road & track conditions, will wear forever and and won't break the bank!

POST 17Original post

It takes me over a year of grooming & care to get my tires to the golden time where yours are! Minimum tread squirm & noise. I drive mine until I see threads, of course it never rains in So. CA !
