I used Jones when I had the 951 and once with the 99 996- always happy with them and they tend to just "do things" that need doing for their long term clients rather then nickel and dime you to death.

Prestige Performance 15555 Tradesman Dr. #500 San Antonio [phone removed] Ask for Mark. It is a very reasonable shop. He did my 30K service. He also replaced an idler pulley for me (only charged $75 ) after he took everything apart to find the problem, had to order the part and put it all back together. He repeated the same process again when the new part came in.

There is an installer who works for Circuit City near North Star Mall (not sure if he is still there) who knows a lot about stereo installs in a 996, he gave me a lot of free advise and was very patient with the problems I had. I talked to him 3 times without spending a dime, maybe look that direction.

The Custom Sounds on San Pedro did a stereo install for me in the 99 996. Just head unit and speakers but I was pretty happy with the work they did and the folks I talked to there.
