Aluminum Pedals

I have seen several parts houses with Aluminum Pedals for my 2003 Targa. Are there any REAL differences. Your thoughts/suggestions are appreciated.

I have the RUF pedals. I beleive they are one of the best quality and fit of others I have seen. expensive but good looking.

Took about an hour. You need to be a bit of a contortionist, since the pedals are pretty far down there, but definitely worth the effort.

those are outrageous prices

I have the Cargraphic aluminum pedals (available with or without scripts) and have been happy with them. I paid ~ $250 about a year ago. I got them direct from Cargraphics USA down in NJ. For installation, I made a paper template, just to make sure the holes were straight before drilling...it seemed to help.

those look sweet Lewis~ were the screws self tapping or did you have to drill first to make room for the screws?

Parkman, The brake and clutch pedals are drilled after removing the rubber covers. Stainless steel flat head screws with lockwasher and nuts installed from rear. The paper templates were a big help; just cut them out and tape them to the pedals to ensure alignment on pedal before drilling. The dead pedal just screws in on top of the carpet. The gas pedal just installs over the existing pedal with the same screws; nothing is removed.

"contortionist" refers to someone who can bend their body very far in weird ways. for instance, the word "contortionist" could be used to describe somebody who could fit their entire body into the trunk of a 996 with the lid closed.

Doug, Am I missing something? I checked their site and the "Ruf" look pedal set is about $400 same as the real Ruf set. ($150 - dead pedal, $250 - gas brake clutch)

Stuttgart Performance has the 3 pedal set listed at $245 and the dead pedal for and additional $157. Strangely enough those are the exact same prices listed by carnewal.com - damn I wish I'd bought when the exchange rate was better.

That is bizare. I looked at that pedal set today on my computer at work and I swear it was $ 175.00. Maybe the page was in cache and old page or it was just changed. Either that or I am losing my mind. Edit: I tried to order the guage trim rings for 996 from Stuttgart yesterday and called twice, but no answer. They were also $ 175.00 when I tried to call, but now they are $ 176.50. The pedal set beside the Ruf knock off seemed like it was $ 145.00 yesterday (today different) and the price on the 964 carbon fibre door handles in different.
