Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion
So where do you recommend I look for a smokin deal in the $30k range?
Leading evidence: 'Recommend i look' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Recommend i look' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

there's a 99 c2 cab for sale in california with 37k miles for 30k obo. blue with hard top and litronics. it's on autotrader.com for anyone that's interested. i was looking into it for a friend of mine but he didn't want to contact a guy out in cali... too far...
I bought my 2000 Black C2 Cab 6 speed in Dallas for $40,000 3 months ago. I got it at auction with a friend who is a dealer. A lot of car for the money.....
50K miles on most of those and the seats in the black one looked really BAD.
I have no problem with a 996 with 50K miles ... as long as I'm the one that put them on there!
Texas has some insane deals. I bought my '00 996 C2 6sp with 25K miles on it for $43K in Houston, and that was back in Summer 03. Check out the cars at NXCess (Where I got mine) and EXPO, both on Ebay.
Prices are dropping fast. I got a good deal on mine so I'm happy, and I have several friends who want 996s and $30s is going to make these cars more attainable. I'd hate to take the new car depreciation hit though. Thats gotta hurt.

With prices like that, I guess I'll be keeping mine for a while. Which is absolutely fine with me. =)
Todd at EVO.... do you have SC for none e-gas 3.4s? I may be ready toward the end of the year. =)
lots of cars coming up on their 5yr leases which had tremendously low residual values attached to them. i can almost assure you this is the case. why do i say? that is how i bot mine for $36k. if you look in the los angeles local markets, the used car markets (those privately owned/retail) for a 1999 C2 trade in the $45k area.
