Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

14 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Ok, so I sold my GT-2 front bumper and I bought a turbo bumper in it's place. It's not as aggressive and I like the look better. Its a 2003 C2 but for some reason the PO but MK1 side skirts on it. For now I'm keeping them but I see MK2's in my future. The question I have and opinions I'm looking for is this; should I get a rear wing? I think I'd like one. Would it look silly with the turbo nose? If I get one do which one do you guys recommend? The MK1, MK2 or something else???? What do you think??? Opinions appreciated. Thanks

POST 3Original post

For the 996, I prefer the GT2 wing . My personal preference is to leave my car with the factory wing which is activated some where around 70mph. The natural lines of the 996 are unbeatable

POST 4Original post

+1, I don't like the fixed wings. Maybe worthwhile at extreme speeds but a little too ostentatious for me.

POST 5Original post

I always liked the MKI taco style wing. It would also match your MKI side skirts.

POST 6Original post

The Carrera spoiler, nice and tasty not to loud!

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

That Carrera spoiler. Where'd you get it?

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Sorry. I'm typing on my iPhone at a wedding in NYC trying not to get caught by my wife. What I meant to say was....I like that spoiler, where'd you get it.

POST 9Original post

My 02 C4S had a fixed spoiler on it when I bought it. at first i was going to replace with the stock lid but it kind of grew on me. I think the PO was trying to make it look like a turbo. I get a lot of positive comments at car meets so I decided to keep it.

POST 10Original post

It's all a matter of personal taste. I don't like a fixed wing. That's one of the reasons that I like the C4S.

POST 11Original post

After my personal research, I opted for the OEM Carrera wing - bought it here from a fellow Rennlister and I have absolutely no regrets. Works well for both summer and winter trims.

POST 12Original post

Personally I prefer no wing at all, I like the clean lines. I do like the front bumper though, is it a Duraflex or VIS Racing, fiberglass or urethane and how did it fit?

That looks like the 928 S4/GT wing
