Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Also, be careful when tightening the nuts on the brake and clutch.
Leading evidence: 'Tighten nuts' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Tighten nuts' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Suggestion
If you use the C clamps to place them you can drill right thru the Ruf holes and attach the little nuts and bolts.

Also, even if you use the C-clamp method, you may want to position the pedals where you think you want them, mark the drill points with a pencil or felt tip, remove the pedals and make sure the drill points aren't too close to an edge or top of the pedal.

Suggestion
The brake pedal is obviously harder to drill, but by using the clamps you should be ok.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I just recieved my RUF pedals. Sweet!! Question is do I have to drill holes in my pedals to retrofit? I know Don in Cape Cod has these pedals, any tips would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Steve
P.S:Still looking for a dead pedal.
Here's what I did. I have a TipS so only 2 pedals. I took the covering off the accelerator and the brake. I then used 2 small "C" clamps and clamped the pedals in place over the bases. The accelerator is like plastic and the brake is metal. If you use the C clamps to place them you can drill right thru the Ruf holes and attach the little nuts and bolts. The brake pedal is obviously harder to drill, but by using the clamps you should be ok.
clamping the pedals covers in place is a good idea.
there should be a drilling template on the box.
don't use "soft" alumnium pedals to guide a hard drill bit through a hard metal pedal, instead, just start the drill enough to mark the pedal at each desired hole, then remove the pedal and finish the holes.
you're going to be standing on the pedals, so cosmetics aren't a big issue, but you might cover the pedal with some plastic to avoid the metal of the clamp scoring the pretty new surfaces ...
As the others have said, the main issue with drilling the brake and clutch is that they are metal and slightly rounded, so you need to find a way to keep the drill bit from wandering off your mark. I started the hole with a very small drill bit and then increased the size once I had a guide hole.
Also, even if you use the C-clamp method, you may want to position the pedals where you think you want them, mark the drill points with a pencil or felt tip, remove the pedals and make sure the drill points aren't too close to an edge or top of the pedal. I also got one hole a little too close to the center bar and it made it difficult to get a rachet on the lock nut.
Also, be careful when tightening the nuts on the brake and clutch. Because the pedals are rounded, the RUF pedal covers do not sit flat on them and it is easy to over torque and snap the little bolts (don't ask).
Since the accelerator is plastic and flat, it is much easier to drill and prevent bit from walking. I have a 2004 w/ e-gas and the is no cover on my accelerator, just a plastic pedal. I can't see an easy way to remove the pedal, so I just drilled it in place.
