Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I run the awe tuning headers for that reason as they are better than oem 997 headers

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 2Original post

I'm not sure about the claim of a power gain. As I recall, the 996 header design is actually better than the 997.1 design. Do you have any documentation on the power gain?

POST 3Original post

Not sure about the horse power gains as well. I can say that 997 headers paired with pfaff sport exhaust sounds great.

POST 4Original post

The X51 headers would be an upgrade but not for $600 Porsche is asking. You can pick up a used Fabspeed headers at that price. Stock 997 headers look just like the Stock 996 headers I tossed.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

x51 headers are around $1600

POST 7Original post

I'm not trying to bust your chops about the power increases porka. However, if you look at the 997.1 S headers and compare them to the 997 X51 headers, you'll see that they are quite a bit different. The 997 X51 headers look remarkably similar to the 996 headers. I can't say that one provides more or less power than the other because I don't have the data. That's why I asked.

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Log style headers are not efficient. The x51 headers are not a good design.they do not offer a free flowing merge I run the awe tuning headers for that reason as they are better than oem 997 headers

I tend to agree with this and think the compromise was worth it to Porsche on a street driven vehicle for the additional ground clearance. If you look at the Porsche Motorsport headers, they are certainly not like this.
