Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Has anyone retrofit post-02 lights and the front bumper onto their car? Can it be done or is it just a waste of time and money?
Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks!
yes it can be done.
u need as well apart from 2 headlights and front bumper, 2 wings because they are different...
but why would you do this.
ever thought what the next byer will think of this conversion? (crash....may be)
double think again....
Personally, I prefer the post 02 lights over the pre02 lights, I currently have halogens so I am already in the market of switching to xenons. I want to also add the turbo front bumper (Mashaw conversion) which is not possible for pre 02 cars.
I plan on keeping this car for a significant amount of time and am not thinking what the "next buyer" may think. If anything, I think it will enhance the look of the car. But to each his own..
If you're going to go with 2002 and up headlights, fenders, etc, the factory turbo bumper will bolt right on with a bit of mod to the re-bar in behind.
You'll need a wiring harness to make the post '02 lights work as well.
I seriously looked into doing this myself but with the $$ it involves I would be better off trading to a 2002.
BTW there are a couple aftermarket companies that sell the facelift as a kit for appox 2500 euro.
Hey Jon
I did it !
u will need
frt bumper cover + right & left and center grills and side bumper brackets
r & l xenon hdlts and wiring plugs only [ if u can get them somehow, you can hard wire it direct to the oem harness, thats what i did ].
if not u will need wiring harness assy for xenons only [ 12 pin connector ].
post 2002 right and left fenders and liners.
you will need to remove 2 inc from each side of the front bumper rebar .
no need to change the air ducts for the radiator and a/c con.
I really like the way it looks, i dont think it was a waste of money [ i had to
do front end work anyway ] the car looks much better,as far as my time
invested in this project, it was very interesting sourcing out the parts and
save some $$$$$$ ,i think its better to use oem parts [ front bumper cover]
they fit very good [ no allignment problems and extra body work ].
the xenons are great real good in my parts of the world [ vancouver bc ].
by the way my ride is a 1999 c2
