This is not a probability of success.

These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Over the next 72 hours, This Forum server (forums.rennlist.com) and the adjunct sites (Member Upload, Attachments, etc) will be moved to servers and circuits owned by the new owners of Rennlist Internet Brands. For that:
Please copy and paste this post - in case you have any difficulties but, here is the short version of what will happen.
First
 as you may have noticed, the circuits in the last 24 hours have been pretty busy coming into this site. Thats because we have many GB of data to move across (which is happening as you read this!).
Second
 we will change IP addresses for this Forum  and when that happens  you may see for a few hours, that this site is closed with a redirect to the new IP. If you see that  hang on  your DNS Servers are refreshing to catch the new servers/circuits  in a bit  you will be able to access the Rennlist Forums as you do now;
Third
 IF YOU HAVE AN ISSUE please e-mail me at
[email removed]
and I.B. and I will push a refresh if your issue is not resolved in a few hours;
Fourth  the Frequently asked questions:
Yes  Jen and I will be on Rennlist during the transition;
No  Rennlist Memberships will not be affected;
Yes  the Rennlist Forums and the five million plus posts will stay intact;
No there are NO OTHER RENNLIST SITES OR SERVERS AFFECTED AT THIS TIME (such as the Rennlist e-mail accounts, Classifieds, E-mail discussion lists, Galleries, Registries, Tech Sites, Member sites, etc., etc. are back here in NH for now.
On a personal note this May 2008 Rennlist comes into its eleventh year of operation. This is the first time ever a server, circuit, router, gateway whatever has NOT sat about three feet from where Jen & I live or work. And for that this is as big a change for us as it is for you. Since 1998 I could always walk over and kick start a server literally.
What are we working on now?
Just this.
And with all of you neither Rennlist nor
Projects like this
would have happened
My best to all,
John D.
Good luck with the transition John!
Do you feel like your obnoxious child Renny is going off to college and leaving you and the wife to joyfully start another chapter??
Hey, hey hay - that's my kid you are calling "obnoxious"
I prefer "challenging - at times"...
But for that - yep - in a lot of ways - I think your right.. Our child - "Renny" is all "growed up" and headed off to college...
Damn kids... They seem to grow up too fast...
Seriously - my thanks... And yep - it's sort'a the way you said it..
John
Good luck John and Jen....thanks for everything and supplying this Porsche Mecca. I'm anxious to see how things roll from now on. Don't be a stranger around here. Best of luck in your philanthropic endeavors.
Not sure if you have done so in the past, but how 'bout posting some pix of you and the Mrs.? Would be great to put the faces to your names!
Best to both of you,
Jon
Thanks to you both for the best, most informative, and professional discussion board on the internet for Porsche cars and their owners. I'm hoping that the board is not 'corrupted' by the big corporate guys. Best of luck - your efforts have definitely enhanced my Porsche ownership experience!
Hi Phil & Jon..!
My sincerest thanks..! Honestly? It was started a long time ago by a few - and we just treated it like a site we'd want to be a part of, as we are just like you - simply P'car nuts as well. So - Jen's and my thanks right back at you..!!
Also - Jon - I did post a pic a few years ago of Jen & I from our wedding..? I'll try to find it and repost.. Course - that means you folks will have to put up pics of yourselves as well..!!??!!
My best to you - and thank you!
John
John & Jen, Best of luck with everything! I think regardless of where it's hosted or who owns Rennlist it's up to us, the members to keep the Rennlist spirit going!
John & Jen,
What can I say? I watched Rennlist grow over the years to become just a fantastic, quality place to dwell. And...you helped me along my path graphically. Thank you. Truly, thank you.
My best to you both. And congratulations for an effort that is well deserved.
best,
Chad Austin
Awww - sheeshhh....
Just back from one of my other jobs (yea - I really do work for a living!!
) and see Mike, Marc and Chad have all posted in the same thread...
What these guys won't tell you - but I can and will - is that all have been around "forever" on this site - and frankly - it's folks like these three that Rennlist has been all about...
Mike? Well - he & I have PMed over the years - shared some private notes - but, well - has also "always been there..."....
Marc?? Marc - still have your certificate??? Those were given out in 1999 to a few folks that well - just were there when we made the transition from "Porschelist" to Rennlist. Marc was - and is - one of those folks...
As for Chad? He's too humble to tell you - but the main Rennlist Logo? Yea - this one:
Chad did that when we made the transition - or just after as well... That's his work - and someday - I'd like to make a banner of that logo - just to hang in my garage over my P'cars...
So - while these three guys are too humble to talk about all they have done for this little place we call "Rennlist" - I'm not so inhibited....
To all three of you - thank you from Jen and I.. For nearly eleven years of just well - being there - or here - as a part of this community...
And for Jon - this is Jen & I about two years ago. I still look the same. Jen? She looks better. But - I'm biased..
to all of you......
John D.
Wow John...you are a handsome devil...and Jen is stunning. You are a lucky man. I won't even bother posting my mugg on the same page, but if you look around, you'll find it. Thanks for posting...so nice to "see" you!
J
Many have said and many more will - Thanks for creating this place and allowing it to become what it has!
We hope that you'll still hang out here after you hand over the keys to the front door. We like hanging out here with you, so having you around less would be almost as traumatic as seeing Phil drive his car more.
Bump...
We are going through the transition now.. This post is on the new servers... SOOOO!!!!
If you get this e-mail - but can't see the new forums.... - Please know - I am so sorry for the difficulties!!! OK - after you get this note.. What I want you do to do is a "reboot" of your computer.. Next - go here:
https://rennlist.com/forums/
And hit reload/refresh....
If that doesn't work - you let me know at
[email removed]
, OK???
John
John and Jen, Thanks for creating a great site and for putting up with all the problems that I'm sure come up from administering such a site! I've noticed that the response time has dramatically increased now that Rennlist is on the new servers.
Thanks again and I look forward to years of involvement here!!!
