Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi all,
Would like to share some pics... just put the alcantara seat inserts and steering wheel on, the feel of the steering wheel is great, I like it better than the leather, more consistent grip.
I have the alcantara **** but didn't put it in since I am still trying to locate an alcantara handbrake to go with it, one with "porsche" on it instead of "GT3". Does anyone know if the alcantara handbrake comes with the "Porsche" emblem? Or, does it only come with "GT3" on it?
Thanks,
Andy
Andy, the steering wheels and seat inserts look fantastic. I have a Momo alcantara steering wheel and I absolutely love the feel of the alcantara. Do you mind if I ask how much for the sift **** & seat inserts, and where did you buy them? Thanks, Mark
Thanks,
-CWay27, Have thought about that, but I am not sure if the aluminum piece will pop off without damaging it.
-Mfletch, The shift **** is $190 from Suncoast, the seat inserts are from Carnewal, 190 Euro, for one seat since I only have driver side GT3 seat.
Me likey!
Was the alcantara stitched right over the stock steering wheel cover? If so, how much thicker did the steering wheel get (noticeable/non-noticeable)? And lastly, where did you get the alcantara cover?
speedyjp,
The alcantara wheel comes as a whole steering wheel without the airbag. It has the same thickness as the factory wheel. Bought mine from Suncoast.
looks great!! I am thinking about a similar upgrade - question: did you swap the wheel yourself? I was was wondering how hard it would he to pull the airbag, etc.
>Malakas, The swap is very straight forward, I found the instructions from here:
http://www.renntech.org/forums/index...=steering+swap
You'll need to purchase some tools to get to the airbag screws from behind the wheel, or you can stack some tools to get around that, which was what I did. It took me about an hour to finish including the wait of 30 minutes after disconnecting the battery.
