Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I've gotten really good wear on my front tires. I've had the car for 23,000 miles and I don't know how many miles were on the tires b4 I got it. Now they are showing wear and the pattern is similar to the rear, i.e. inside of both front with much more wear than on the outside. Is this common? If someone showed me the wear pattern of these tires, I'd swear they came off the rear. I have not had this car on the track and almost all of it's miles are country winding roads and interstate.

POST 2Original post

Have you measured toe and camber on the front recently?

This is a symptom of too high tire pressure. I run really low pressures to avoid this (even for street driving). The factory recommended tire pressures are IMO way too high and can cause the inside of the tires to wear faster than the outside. With more than stock negative camber and the "right" tire pressure, my tires show the most wear on the inside.

POST 5Original post

Pat, reduce your toe in and your wear will even out. Hwk, high tire pressure causes wear in the center of the tire, not on the edges (let alone a single edge).
