Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I just installed my new RemoteTOP, and it is mostly functioning beautifully. However the one big problem I'm having is that when I put the top up all 4 windows go down, and stay down. As you can imagine this pretty much defeats the purpose of the remote since I then have to unlock the car and put the windows up. Anyone encounter this and know how to fix it? -

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

No one else encountering this problem? Damn - I'll have to put in a call to the manufacturer... -

POST 3Original post

You need to program the unit to your preference. Read the instruction, there is a way to do it. I can't explain on here. Call me if you need help. PM sent!

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Ok - thanks. I did follow the instructions from the website, but I'm totally willing to admit I might have made a mistake.

I've never had an issue. Give the company a call, I've heard they have no problem with sending out new units.

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just an FYI for everyone: I haven't heard back from Wilhelmy (sp?) yet, but it looks like for the 2003 model Cabs Porsche disabled the ability to have the windows go up automatically for some kind of safety related reason, so it's necessary to install SmartTop as well as RemoteTOP to have the one-touch closing functionality. Anyone else know more about this? PS Thanks for the PM 996superfly - it was great to talk with you. -
