Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Never heard of PAR, that means nothing, I use RPM myself for anything I can't handle.
Leading evidence: 'Use rpm myself' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). It's best feature is the low miles ,probably a garage queen in it's former life.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I've been looking for my 996 for a few months (and waiting about 25 years...) and finally closed the deal on one this week. Bought from a local porsche specialist. Its a:
2000 Carrera 4, ocean blue
full supple grey leather
hi-fi stereo, 6cd changer
K40 radar, 18" wheels, litronics, rear wiper, etc etc
Came with about 3+ years left (or 50K) on a warranty
Only 11,500 miles
I paid $46K.
How'd I do? Seems a fair price for such alow mileage car with every option from that year. What do you guys think?
Am I out of the woods on the RMS problem everyone talks about on this site?
Sounds nice. Pics?
So am I correct in reading that the norm is to get 4 yrs "OR" 50k miles warranty in the US for a new Porsche?
(I know you said 3+ years left for the car you just bought)
Pics will come soon, picking the car up this weekend. Having winter wheels put on and a new exhaust system/air intake kit to give the car a more 'vintage' sound.
I think that warranty is fairly standard, this one was 4yr/50K mi purchased about 10 months ago. It should give me piece of mind for the time being.
I test drove it and purchased it through PAR in New Rochelle, all they do is porsches with a full inspection by their mechanics. Cars are on consignment and the owner takes care of all repairs before they go up for sale. Its an aftermarket warranty that came with the car. I'm in Huntington, where are you?
Glen Head. Never heard of PAR, that means nothing, I use RPM myself for anything I can't handle. Sounds like a good car. It's best feature is the low miles ,probably a garage queen in it's former life.
