Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I just installed 17mm spacers on my C4S. I have H&R lowering springs and the tire seems very close to the fender. Am I going to rub the fender? I was told that with the tire size I have, that there would not be a problem. What do you think?

POST 2Original post

The 17 mm spacer is too big for your rears. You should have just got the 5 mm spacer.

POST 3Original post

I think you should remove the stick before you drive the car to see if the tire rubs.

POST 4Original post

It looks like you are going to be in good shape. As the suspension compresses and the top of the rear wheel travels upward it will swing inward. I used to run 305s on the rear of my ///M Roadster and would check the clearance by jacking up the rear of the car and then lowering one rear tire onto a piece of 6x6 lumber. You should get enough compression to determine if it will rub, if not have a person stand on the door sill to add weight.

POST 5Original post

that is going to look incredible on your car - nice! i don't think it'll rub but what do i know?
