Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Has anyone tried them out? I saw them on Suncoast website. Are these the optional Brembo brake pads? It says that they are recommend for track and not street use,why is this? Do they squeal a lot?

POST 2Original post

Most likely they squeal alot. However, I'm sure it's not the squealing that they had in mind when they say track use. Performance/track pads tend to eat up/put more wear on the rotors than regular street pads -- that's probably why.

I have these on my car now. The operate like Pagid Blue pads. They squeal under braking only - and it's not that bad. The perform much better than the stock pads in terms of grip and stopping power. They do need to heat up first for maximum stopping though. -td

Arnee - are you saying that those are "Deliverance" brake pads?

POST 5Original post

They only squeel when cold. They work very poorly when it gets below 50 deg on the street and sound like fingernails on a chalkboard. I wouldn't advise running them year round. They are a decent street/track pad though. I have been running them continuously from March through October in Texas. When the temp is over 70, they are perfectly quiet and work well even cold. It only takes 1-2 hard stops to get them fully warmed and they are a substantual improvement over stock pads. I have learned over time that they are fairly hard on rotors. I recently replaced mine due to grooving and large cracks. Before considering going to these, ask if you are having fading problems with your street pads at the track first? If you aren't having fading problems, stick to stock pads. I never have a problem running stock pads on street tires. On race tires is a different story. I won't get more than a few laps before they start fading. Hence the Sport pads are a good compromise as the next step up.
