Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

14 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Has anybody installed fiber glass areo bumper? My factory one is damage and considering using a after market fiber glass replacement. How's fit and finish and where you got the bumper? Thanks Kam

POST 2Original post

The fit of my TT bumper is perfect... Made by MASHAW.. .. go to mashaw.com for more info... its the ERS spoiler.. we both have them

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Kevin, thanks for the photos. The bumpers looks very good. Is it fiber glass or plastic material like the factory ones? Thanks Kam

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Yeah, that would of an option!

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Kevin: Your car seems to have a double chin!! Did the bumper comes with the bumper lip or chin? Or you have order them separately Kam

POST 8Original post

Yes it gained some weight .. No we added that bottom lip, its the OEM Spoiler lip, it fit perfectly on that TT bumper.. You can get it for $70 at the dealer, it just lowers the front about 1 inch. Beware though you do have to enter driveways or dips at a angle

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Kevin: Great, I can use my exiting lip. I guess the bumper comes with holes for the lip. Thanks for all you help and quick response. Kam

POST 10Original post

Yes you can.. it doesn not come with pre drilled holes... two of us installed it after the bumpers were on. They were easy to drill the holes though. Not all line up perfectly to drill holes, but most do. The bodyshop can install this for you before it goes on.

POST 11 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I guess I can create a template using cardboard for the holes.

POST 12 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I mean create a template using cardboard based on my existing Cup II front bumper.

POST 13Original post

Thats my work then necessary.. What we did was one guy held the lip in place and the other drilled the wholes.. Start on the ends, once those are drilled and locked down the lip stays in place, of course just have the other guy hold it while you drill the remaining holes, a template would actually be more difficult to line up exactly
