i don't have a bose logo on my 02 carrera just stock 6 speaker system, and boy does it sound like crap! if the fade in the center i hear everyone from only the front dash speakers, i have the fade set on R4 right now and it is only bearable.... it's got plenty of highs some bass but seems to be missing everything in between.... i know it's a sports car but since it comes w/ cup holder why not a great stereo too? what do you guys do to solve this?!

This is why you listen to the stereo before you buy the car! You could have got the good stereo if you bought a Bose car (most 02'+ came with it). The question is which system did you get? Do you have door speakers? If not, you have the basic 4-mono-cone speaker system, same as a GT3. It is basically comparable to the base factory radio in an old Ford Escort or anything made by Kraco. It came for people who like to listen to the mechanical music from the engine, not wood and brass instruments. There is a step up to the "HiFi" which had 10 speakers with 2 woofers in the doors. If you have the latter, you are in better shape since you already have the right mounting to upgrade speakers. Otherwise, go to the best frabrication stereo shop around and just leave them your credit card.
