Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

CDR-23 Question
Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have a CDR-23 with Bose High End Sound in my '04 C4s. It works fine on some occasions, but on others when I turn on the radio, display comes up, all looks normal, but absolutely no sound. It's not on "mute" as I've pushed the "TP" button. I can't discern a pattern as to when it works, when it doesn't - seems random. Any suggestions? Thanks! Phil

POST 2Original post

You are under warranty and it is likely a bad radio or amp.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks Loren - that's what I thought. I'll have it checked out. You're correct - it is still under warrantee. Phil

POST 4Original post

Phil, if you'd just get a decent exhaust mod on that thing, you can save a trip to the dealer because you won't want to turn on the radio anyway!

POST 5Original post

I have the same issue, thx for the help Also, why does Porsche radios have such bad radio reception? My 993 was the same way whereas my M3 gets very good reception. Any fixes for this?

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Rick, what can I say - for now, I just roll down the windows and pretend I have a sport exhaust. I find myself almost never using the radio anyway, but I do want it to be right. Phil

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Loaded the OEM CD changer. Again, works sometimes, others not. First would load only 1 CD even though 3 in the changer. When I got it to load, the display would read "Track 1" but no sound - when I scrolled to another track it would play - then back to track 1 and it would play. Me thinks a trip to the dealership is in order. Any other ideas?? Thanks - Phil
