Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

40 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey all - I'm doing some spring cleaning and came across a fairly nice Burango 1:18 scale model (die cast) of a silver 996 narrow-body coupe . Doors and both lids open and close. Since my 996 is black it is up for grabs. I thought it would be fun (for me) to have a contest to find its new owner. The contest: Post a photo of your vehicle. I will pick a winner (taking into account any comments from the peanut gallery) based on (in this order) entertainment value, artistic value, and how close your car matches the model. That winner will get this model, absolutely free, in the mail to any continental US address. Contest closes when it runs out of steam. Good luck.

POST 4Original post

Alright, I'll play. I have a narrow body C2 Coupe in Artic Silver. It even had the matching pumpkins on when I first bought the car.

POST 5Original post

Discoganya should get points taken off for having black bumperettes!

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

We're going to have to work on that "entertainment value", guys...

POST 7Original post

someone's gonna need to put their car up on jack stands and take a picture blocking them out to reproduce that fender gap...you gotta want it

POST 8Original post

See my avatar. My car looked exactly like the model at purchase. At 20K I developed an RMS leak. I asked them to fix it. I didn't realize that RMS also stands for Reconfigure My Sunroof. I think it looks OK. You?

POST 9Original post

hey thats my car......and it would fit perfect in my case of 1:18 scale car models

POST 10Original post

^^^ Yep I would agree that so far yours is the one that is being modeled even has the pumpkins ^^^ GL

POST 11Original post

Rennlist points deducted for not having done any mods... a case of winning a car, but losing all credibility on this forum.

POST 12Original post

hey now I have RSS plenum, Vflow and other Alum trim stuff...I do have the pumpkins ....but hopefully not for too much longer... and I see no way to add a signature either.......even if I edit profile...

POST 17Original post

I guess the only thing I have is the color...but maybe I will win residual points for having a few mods?

POST 18Original post

if you want my body, and you think im sexy..... enough enough but I couldn't resist.

POST 20Original post

Sorry, but my car is not "Lemming Silver" so it won't qualify. However, how about a Stripper in Speed Yellow I use for AutoX? Just kidding! It is a 911 "trainer."

POST 23Original post

As I mentioned earlier, it is a 911 Trainer. It has been stripped and fortified and is used to train people how to drive the 911. This is the only pic I have ever seen of it. I love the "cow catcher" on the front.

POST 25Original post

I got the "Rim Job" when I had to get repair work done on a 21k mile pcar.......

POST 27Original post

Nice ride, however you have removed the pumpkins so I have to deduct you for that, but it is the correct thing to do though

POST 28Original post

I still say Yoops Racing on Page 1, although ReidN is a close 2nd. The rest are nice cars as well but have different wheels or aero kits.

POST 30 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

OK - contest closed. Bernocco930S is the winner. PM me your address and the model is on its way.

POST 31Original post

WOW! That is cool. I will tell my suspension mechanic the good news. Funny thing is I was just looking on eBay to buy a model because this thread inspired me. Thanks! eric

POST 33Original post

that sure is identical to the model......NOT I guess some added T&A was needed

POST 34Original post

Here is a photo. http://forums.rennlist.com/upload/dsc02843.jpg This is 996 cop's car - looks like the front runner Stefan

POST 35Original post

Yeah I think it was swayed by the additional upgrade process ...I still had you as being 'identical' and the winner

POST 36Original post

The winner wasnt close. Hmmmm! A biased contest. Congrats anyway. I thought my glacier white was too much of a stretch...

POST 37 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hey, I said upfront that fidelity to the model was third most important. Bernocco's was the only photo that even attempted to be interesting!

POST 38Original post

I guess some added T&A was needed [/QUOTE] Hey, hay, hea, haa, haaaaaa.......... be respectful now. This is my loving wife we are talking about here. He he he, guess she is kinda nice to look at

POST 40Original post

Hey, got the Puma Shoes............ I mean Porsche Model today. Really cool! At first I thought I was getting a pair of much needed shoes because of the box. Thanks for the gift and I will display it proudly next to all of my American Iron. eric NO PIX - no time. Looks just like he pictured it earlier.
