Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Just wondering if anyone can tell me if there's a difference, other than price, between the "Genuine Porsche" and aftermarket window regulators. I'm looking to replace mine, and wondering if the extra $80 gets me anything other than a Porsche Logo. Thanks, Jon

POST 2Original post

I used the aftermarket unit and it works fine. Still has plastic rollers, like the orig one. Todd 99 coupe

POST 3Original post

If they are anything like BMW parts, My aftermarket parts failed after 2 years and had to replace with OEM. OEMs held up for 8 years.

POST 6Original post

Is there a DIY for the replacement? I will need to do mine in the near future to.

I did mine a couple of weeks ago, here is my thread: https://rennlist.com/forums/996-foru...perfectly.html I still have to perform some adjustments on the placement of the window though as some wind noise is coming in.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
