just learned that the 1999 996 in SD that i was really considering buying has had some accident damage repaired so think i'm gonna pass on it.

anyone know of a good shop in san diego for PPI preferably an independent who is aware of oil sump/oil filter inspection for IMS issues and coolant test for oil/etc...basic all around 996 knowledge?

I used Black Forest and felt that they did a very thorough job. The original owner stated that he wished he had known about that shop (had just moved to the area). A year and a half into my 996 and I haven't found anything missed by them.
