While it's at the body shop I think I'm going to have them replace the side skirts with the correct MK II.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

My car came with MK I skirts from the PO and I have a turbo bumper cover and I never liked the look of them. They should be MK II.
I had a little mishap (accident) and need to replace my front bumper cover. While it's at the body shop I think I'm going to have them replace the side skirts with the correct MK II. Unfortunately these will have to be the Duraflex aftermarket ones, but at least the body shop will install them correctly and paint them perfectly.
I'm probably going to try and sell the MK I side skirts. They're in great shape and are Porsche original parts.
Any idea what I should ask for them?
The MK1 sideskirts are actually more expensive than the MK2's. The going rate for new ones are $850(yes it's gone up just like a bunch of other Porsche OEM parts). Recent used ones have sold generally in the $400-$500 range depending on condition.
Why not get the OEM MK2 skirts? I think it would be better in the long run in terms of fitment and longevity. Another option would be the GT3tek sideskirts as they're made from polyurethane.
Does anybody want to buy used OEM MKII side skirts?
They're in nice shape and will include all mounting hardware.
Let me know. You can see them in the picture.
You mean mk1?
I can tell you right now the negligible difference in price could be a wash if the body shop has to spend extra time in mounting it or prepping the FRP if it's wavy. Personally I'd go on a Ramen noodle diet for a week or so to make up the difference.
Yes, MKI. Sorry.
Problem is I need them now because the car is at he body shop now. I only have so much extra dough. These were $470 shipped and they guarantee perfect fitment.
It's done. They're ordered.
Anyone want MKI side skirts???
A bunch of people have sent me notes about my side skirts asking for pictures and how much I want for them.
This is the only picture I have right now. The car is in the body shop having the front bumper replaced and these skirts removed and new ones reinstalled.
I have no idea what the value is of these. I guess the best thing to do would be make what you feel is a fair offer without shipping and I'll let you know.
I'm not trying to gouge anyone. I really just dont know the value. It was said up above 400-500 but I have no idea if that's fair.
Also, if I make a deal with someone, I won't accept any money until the skirts are removed from my car and I can send you multiple pictures of what your getting.
Anyway...here's the shot...
