Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

When my lifestyle changed (kids) such that I didn't do much of those things anymore, then I sold the SUV and went back to a sedan that was more fuel efficient.
Leading evidence: 'Replace (kids) such' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Previously I made a comment that I hadn't changed my lifestyle because of the gas prices.

Used to be changing from left to right lanes constantly at that speed, now I just stay in the left.

Now times have changed and if these people drive 30-80 miles a day one way, one would think that they wouldn't be using their SUV...
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I haven't noticed that here in LA...instead, people seem to drive slower in order to save gas but it seems the volume of cars is still similar.
If only it went up a little higher, the freeways might be a little more open.
Funny, I was just thinking that over the past two weeks but I couldn't put a finger on the cause. Once the Summer hits the teachers will be out of school and there will be even less traffic.
I and my family have just recently started to change our habits. We are trying to combine trips and carpool more with the kids activities. It really isn't the costs hitting us, but more of the waste and the idea that I'm lining some speculators pocket every time I fill up. Not to mention our good friends in the middle east getting even more rich due to this crazy run up. I personally believe these oil prices are just another investment bubble.
Previously I made a comment that I hadn't changed my lifestyle because of the gas prices. I actually did. A few years ago I sold my SUV (an Explorer) because I felt that it was a gas guzzler that I no longer needed. When I bought it I was fixing up our house, doing Home Depot runs, camping, skiing, etc and the car got lots of use. When my lifestyle changed (kids) such that I didn't do much of those things anymore, then I sold the SUV and went back to a sedan that was more fuel efficient.
Honestly, in the scheme of things our gas prices are really low.

We're a wealthy nation with low gas prices, what we're seeing now is really long overdue and we have no reason to complain.
If you want to complain spend some time in Europe and pay $8/gallon. Fuel economy is important to the average European and I do hear of people doing their best to be wise in how much fuel they use. It's about time we started thinking in a similar way.
When I talk to members of my family they complain if their cars get less than 50mpg. Imagine that.
The first step is that you should only drive a car that you can afford to run and maintain. The second is that you should take fuel economy into account during a purchase and thirdly, then you alter your driving patters to be more efficient.
When I arrived in this country gas prices were less than a dollar per gallon in some parts of the country ($1.09 in San Jose where I was living). At the very same time drivers in Europe were paying $4/gallon.
I will never complain about gas prices. I'll drive a car that I can afford to run and live within my means.
Actually not a little bit but quite a bit. I still remember like it was yesterday when I bought my X5 and full tank of gas was a tad bit higher than $28 in 2001. Now it takes $90+ to fill it up.
Now imagine people who commute 30-50 miles or more one way each day for work and it all adds up for them. I know a few who commute 70-80 miles one way to work in DC.
My wife commutes 38 miles each direction. She loves her little Honda Civic and doesn't want any other car - it's small, fuel efficient and gets her from A to B reliably. I think that she might be onto something.
Yeah I remember when I was paying $0.8x to $0.9x when I was in high school.
Now times have changed and if these people drive 30-80 miles a day one way, one would think that they wouldn't be using their SUV... that probably just seats one person the entire trip.
BTW, my ML430 only takes about $60 to fill up with 89. I hear some folks here in CA complaining how their 911's take $55+ to fill up...which doesn't make sense at all since the 911 definitely has a small tank to begin with.
You cannot believe how much that last statement make me smile...
Porsche drivers complaining about the cost to fill up. That is just so wrong on so many levels. Let me pinch myself just to be sure I'm awake.
