Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

They didn't even try to change the tire, just loaded it up on a flatbed and took it to the nearest Porsche dealer.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

hi! im a new owner of an 01 996 turbo with stock tires and rims, while driving on the highway last saturday i blew my rear tire, after installing the spare the blown tire would not fit the trunk! i had to wait an hour for my friend to pick me up just so i could load my wheel in his sedan! is this porsche really designed this way? or is there a secret techinique on how to cram that tire inside? thanks!
i already had my backseat filled wd boxes.... presuming my backseat was empty it would still be hard to stuff it at the back and it would surely ruin my interior considering how dirty and hot the tires where then.... porsche even provided a bag to put the blown tire but it's would also be imbossible to put the rear wheels in it....good thing i wasn't in a hurry for something important bacause the whole incident caused me about two hours delay....
I had that happen also. There was a plastic bag supplied in the tool kit to encase the blown wheel. I moved the passenger seat as far back as it would go and put the wheel in the passenger seat. A little uncomfortable driving but it worked.
on the tt's the rears are 11 inches wide. i posted a similar thread on the tt forum. getting an 11 inch wheel/tire combo in the back seat is a challenge and always remeber that if your rear tire blows, switch the front tire to the rear and install the spare on the front. i carry a couple of fix-a-flat can in the car at all times...
Yup, the tire is supposed to go inside the plastic bag then inside the cabin. Tight, but it fits. If you don't have a bag, those wide tires can still fit inside a large outdoor garbage bag.
I follow the way of the newer 911's now. I keep a can of fix-a-flat, and the car comes with an OEM electric air pump anyway. I still keep the spare tire for the rare occasion when the tire is truly blown and unusable.
My daughter had a flat on her Boxster and called Porsche roadside assistance. They didn't even try to change the tire, just loaded it up on a flatbed and took it to the nearest Porsche dealer. Told her there was no place to put the tire in the car.
I remember when I bought 2 new back tires in North Carolina,
the Hendrik's (sp?) Porsche mechanic refused to put the used tires
in the back, because they would damage the interior.
The tires had around 6000Km in them, and I had to just leave them
there ( I had a passenger).

Why? I had my left rear blow and replaced it with the donut. I drove at a max. of 50mph though.
i guess it wouldnt be a problem if my backseat was empty and i was driving alone. but since i had a passenger wd me and the back was loaded wd boxes it became such a hassle for me. but i guess the trip was half-worth it...flat out going to my destination but 80kph all the way back home. haha! anyway thanks for the info people!
