Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi everyone...after taking my car out for the summer i have some lambda problems. Is there a way to measure the lambdas on my car? its a 996 C2 3,4l -98.

POST 3Original post

You can read the AFR from your O2 sensors with a scanning tool. The limitation is the slow refresh rate and the fact that you're dealing with narrowband sensors. The best option is to pick up a wideband oxygen sensor and either mount it seperately or use one with both wide and narrowband output and mount it in the stock location. You would then send the narrowband output to the ECU to keep it happy while logging the wideband output. How do you know you have a problem?

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Im from sweden and we have to check the cars every year. The car runs and sound perfect but when they measure the exhausts at 2500 rpms it says the lambda is a little to high. I havent had the car to a porsche shop so dont know i i have any default codes yet.

POST 5Original post

Make sure to fully warm the car up prior to the measurement. Assuming you did that, the most likely culprits are either a bad oxygen sensor or a dirty MAF.
