Suggestion

You need to use some pressure when pulling these things out, it will get tight so you will have to twist and turn once you hvae it away from the dash, there are clips in there you dont see until you pull it away.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

OK, this hsould be easy, but I wanted to check with you experts first. Just tracking down interior creaks/noises, and I want to remove the passenger side dash AC vent assembly (including trim). I read that this is attached with 3 screws (2 on side, 1 behind the temp sensor cover). But when I took these screws out, the piece still seemed attached. Did I miss something? Is it clipped in? Since this is wood, it's really expensive and I do not want to screw it up . . . Thanks, Jon

POST 2Original post

I might feel connected still because there will be "resistance" from the vents. Adjust the air vent angle to help make it easier.
