This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

I just got my car back after yet another week long stint at the dealership and the car is still not working.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I did a search and didnt find an answer. On start up the car seems to want to die. Once it is driven to the end of the street it is fine. Has anyone else had this problem and found a solution? thanks

POST 3Original post

Did you ever get a resolution on your cold start problem? I have an '02 C4S that started exhibiting the same exact problems last September. Since then the car has been in the shop over half a dozen times and up to this point has had everything but the engine replaced. I just got my car back after yet another week long stint at the dealership and the car is still not working. Porsche can't fix the problem and now it looks like Porsche is going to have to institute a buy back on the car. It really sucks because outside of this problem I love the car.

POST 4Original post

I had a similar problem for a few weeks. It developed after my MAF was replaced at the dealer. (I have no idea why the MAF failed-also don't know if the MAF replacement caused the problem). Dealer could not duplicate the problem and no repairs were made. Problem subsequently resolved on its own.

POST 5Original post

If this was a temporary problem, it could have been some bad fuel.
