This will have to be changed back now in order for the C2 bumper to now fit (and the ducts are expensive for a piece of plastic).

For sure, I totally understand that but only given that it would've been a clean job.

Now you said that is a Orginal GT2 Factory Bumper, maybe thats why nothing matches back there because the Perious Owner must have changed/hacked some parts in order to make the Orginal GT2 Bumper fit...

This morning I took the GT-2 cover off (it's a Porsche part by the way) and tried to install the radiator and it looks as if the PO, when they replaced the bumper cover, replaced the whole cooling system.

That in order to put a ORGINAL GT2 Bumper on a non-GT2 car you had to change Bunch of Stuff behind the Bumper in order to make it fit, this includes Brackets and Such.

Now that it isn't and the fact that he has to change numerous expensive parts to make everything fit to an original C2, in a way it's not worth the hassle.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
24 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

My car came with a GT-2 bumper cover that looks rediculous on a regular C2.
When I found out that I needed to replace the radiator, I figured that it would be a good time to replace the bumper cover while I was at it.
So I found a perfect match from Craigslist (thanks to a Rennlister!) in San Diego and had it shipped to NJ. I picked it up yesterday in the snow storm.
This morning I took the GT-2 cover off (it's a Porsche part by the way) and tried to install the radiator and it looks as if the PO, when they replaced the bumper cover, replaced the whole cooling system. The radiators, brackets and cooling ducts look like they are all for either a turbo or GT-2.
So the fist thing is that I can't replace the radiator because the one I bought is completely different than the one that's there.
It's about 3 inches bigger on each side than the one I bought.
Does anyone know if what I'm saying makes any sense?
Has anyone looked at their radiators? In the YouTube video of bumper cover removal, it looks as though the AC condensor is about the same size as the radiator. On mine, the radiators are much bigger than the condensor is.
The funny thing is that it looks as if it's always been there???
Are they supposed to be as big as they are in the pictures?
I have a picture of the radiator that I bought next to the one that's in there to show you how big the one thats in there is.
Another dead giveaway is that the PO had the condensor swift tied to the radiator. That's why I have it wired together. I cut the swift ties. What a ****ty job they did. A s a matter of fact, the GT-2 bumper cover was swift tied on the car...can you believe that?!?
It looks as if when the PO put on the GT-2 bumper cover, he replaced the radiators and brackets too.
Any thoughts, advice?
When I tried to put on the new bumper cover, it didnt fit because the radiators were too big, thats what started this whole thing.
Is it difficult to replace the radiator brackets and everything?
I'm sort of at a loss here.
Does anyone have a diagram of what this is supposed to be? It's a plain jane 2003 C2.
I'm so frustrated...AHHHHH

The thing that is making me think it's wrong is that the stock bumper cover won't fit due to the radiators.
I think I need to find a parts diagram somewhere.
I definitely have either turbo or GT-2 radiators. I checked the part numbers and looked at some diagrams and the radiators that I have on my car are all wrong.
I guess I'll have to replace everything.
have you got these "scoops" (not sure what you call them)
you need them...they have to fit over the radiator...do they?
NOT GT3 as mine had the GT3 bumper
You know what, i read somewhere on here few years ago. That in order to put a ORGINAL GT2 Bumper on a non-GT2 car you had to change Bunch of Stuff behind the Bumper in order to make it fit, this includes Brackets and Such. There is no need to do this is with a Aftermarket Replica GT2 Bumper.
Now you said that is a Orginal GT2 Factory Bumper, maybe thats why nothing matches back there because the Perious Owner must have changed/hacked some parts in order to make the Orginal GT2 Bumper fit... looks like you are S-O-L... Sorry
If done properly when someone put on your GT2 bumper, all the radiators, ducts, etc will be all changed. This will have to be changed back now in order for the C2 bumper to now fit (and the ducts are expensive for a piece of plastic). You can find all the parts diagrams in .pdf format on the Porsche website for free downloading.

what's with the 3rd radiator?
did you buy (1) stock C2 one? (a little lost on what you have for parts)
my guess is you started drinking early today .....
For sure, I totally understand that but only given that it would've been a clean job. Now that it isn't and the fact that he has to change numerous expensive parts to make everything fit to an original C2, in a way it's not worth the hassle. If I were in that position, I would probably just settle and keep what I got.
That's exactly what I have. It looks just like that.
I don't want a GT-2 nose on a C2, it looks silly and I feel silly. I did check the car fax before I bought the car. It showed no accidents. Car fax sucks!
I have the that cooling diagram. My plan is to buy all the parts one by one when I have the money. It's going to be over a grand when it's all done but it is what it is.
I've got three kids in college at the same time so my priorities right now are books and beer money for my kids not car parts.
I'll do the best I can buying all the parts. It will take a while. Maybe I can put the old turbo parts on eBay and make some money back. I'm sure front end parts are desirable since that's where most of the accidents occur.
