Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Suggestion
Once you get the "L" bracket in the correct position you might have to slightly adjust the clamps for the flexible hose.

As for the alignment issue, try changing the position of the "L" bracket.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

For those of u that have the Evo Vflow intake system......
I just got mine and started to take apart stuff to install this. Isnt this supposed to come w/ an aftermarket smog pump bracket to remount?
I didnt have one.....and now my car is in pieces.
That's correct. When I got mine it too was short a bracket. After being told several times (by the people I bought it from), that it was in the box (which it wasn't!) , I decided to call EVO. EVO was great about it.
They said it would be no problem that they would mail me one. The nest morning,to my great suprise, I had a package on the front porch, the bracket was sent overnight, and I had it before 10 am the next day.
Call EVO I'm sure they would do the same, if only the other retailers had the same customer service.
got mine from pwrtech. it came assembled too and not that i see a reason too now, but i cant disconnect the cone filter from the tube......and, i see no hole for the wire clips either.
what a nightmare..........finally...the allignment is totally not matching up.
kaizashozay,
I had the same problems. Mine too was already assembled and came without a hole for the wire clamp. I just drilled a small hole to install the clamp. As for the alignment issue, try changing the position of the "L" bracket. If I remember correctly the slightly longer end goes toward the mounting bolt on the car. Once you get the "L" bracket in the correct position you might have to slightly adjust the clamps for the flexible hose.
Don't install the rest yet if you don't have the smog pump bracket. You will need the extra room to remove/reinstall the smog pump. This might be a little hard as well.
After all the trouble the car does sound better.
sharkster- all I will say is I got it from another rennlist sponsor. To me the intake even looked like it might have been used, as there was grease inside the metal pipe to the cars intake along with a few circular scratches where the L bracket attaches. When I called EVO they made it sound like it was not a big deal that parts were missing, so I assumed that it must happen regularly.
