Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I'll have them check the clutch when they are in there and ask them to replace it if it's worn.

It looks like it's been weeping out for a while but if you want to, you can spray it down with some electric circuit board cleaner to clean it up and then check on it after a day or so to see how much is coming out.

I heard something about replacing the "throw bearing" or something like that as well.
Replace throw out/release bearing and have the release arm

I'd also make sure you change the throw out/release bearing and have the release arm checked.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Good News:
Finally got my 3.6L MKII modded mufflers put on by Sharkwerks. Great service and flexibility. Responding to emails at 11pm is what I call customer service.
I didn't get to try it out that much yet. Had to drive straight back to the office. Initial impression is that it's a little bit louder than before. Made the mistake of listening to Alex's Tubi exhaust which makes the MKII mod sound like a whisper in comparison.
Bad news is that I have now joined the RMS club. Alex found that the RMS is leaking when he put on the mufflers. I haven't had any oil leaks in my garage so it can't be leaking much. Thank God I bought a CPO Porsche. Calling up the service department this afternoon to book an appointment for getting the RMS replaced.
Thinking of having the clutch replaced too since I heard it's a minor extra cost while they are in there for the RMS. Any other things that I should replace at the same time?
Is it leaking or is it sweating? No oil on the floor would lead me to believe sweating. Regardless, get it done and have them do the clutch so you don't have to pay labor
The cost in labor to replace is clutch costs more than the clutch itself so it's worth it to change regardless as long as your clutch doesn't still look brand new.
Since I haven't had any oil drips on the garage floor....I would call it sweating. Since I have CPO I'll just take it in to get it changed.
The car has 48K miles on it and I don't know if the previous owner replaced it before. I'll have them check the clutch when they are in there and ask them to replace it if it's worn. I heard something about replacing the "throw bearing" or something like that as well. Not sure what that is...
Anyone know how much the material cost for the clutch is?
Thanks for the kind words Mattias and it was nice to meet you. The car checked out real nice. It's a solid car for sure.. As for the RMS, ah well, part-and-parcel with these cars. It looks like it's been weeping out for a while but if you want to, you can spray it down with some electric circuit board cleaner to clean it up and then check on it after a day or so to see how much is coming out. As far as the clutch goes you might as well put a new disk in there but they really do last a while. It's a perfect time for a LWF
I'd also make sure you change the throw out/release bearing and have the release arm checked.
On the mufflers, James said the car was certainly louder with the modded ones. Hopefully it's the sound you want
It was great to meet you too Alex. Now I know where to take my car when I need stuff done.
I'm glad you checked it out and found the RMS leak now. I'm not worried about it since it's covered by the CPO. Better to find it now than after the warranty expires.
Throw out/release bearing was the word I was looking for. You told me about it but the exact expression didn't stick to my Teflon memory. Thanks!
Alex, I think your Tubi demonstration ruined it for me. That thing is LOUD! I took three laps around the block here at work just now ....and it does sounds louder thank stock with the mkII mod. I like it so far
Hey Mattias, no worries on the tubi. We actually did the same mod as you to a GT3 today and I think the results weren't too bad either. A bit louder etc... but not this:
