I just used Passport a few weeks ago. They picked up my car within 3 days (could have been there in 1 day but the car wasn't quite ready. Car left SF on Friday and was at my house in Dallas at 9:30 Monday morning after stopping over in Phoenix to pick up a car. Driver called twice to let us know how things were going and that he was ahead of schedule. Great service, not cheap but comparable to Intercity and the other high end companies.

I used Intercity twice to ship a 356B from Atlanta and a Ferrari Dino from Ft. Lauderdale to Long Island. When I shopped around they were the cheapest and did a great job both times.
i used passport (fed ex owned) once and the car was about a week late. the driver called every day with a new excuse.
intercity experiences have been flawless and they have thus far been the fastest transporter i've ever used.
the most important thing i'd tell you is do NOT choose based on price! the extra time, damage, stress, inconvenience, etc will eat up your $ savings quickly.
I used Intercity in the past and would use them again. Very reliable and they know how to take care of car guys. I am sure there are other carriers too.
I used dependable auto shippers three times. they suck. they sucked all three times. they still suck. I would never recommend them even if they were free. I sold my track mistubishi to some guy in new mexico and it arrived with the engine frozen up. the tach memory showed that the car had been revved over 9k. my 330ci which I shipped to california to drive when I'm out there (from virginia) came with a scratched rim on my hamann pg2s. one car arrived safely that I shipped for my girlfriend from va to chicago but arrived 3 ... yes 3... weeks late.
