Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

12 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The U shaped plastic thing around my leather shift boot has a cosmetic problem. The top layer is almost bubbling up. It looks as if it was painted poorly, but it was not. The Texas heat may have done a number on it, bu tI am the second owner. Anyone else have problems with this? Any ideas to fix it? The part is connected to the boot so you have to buy the whole thing $$$$$.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I think it is $170. I am going to have to buy one because it drives me crazy....

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have looked for a while but no luck finding one on Ebay

POST 8Original post

Gert at Carnewal sells a replacment but it only comes with the black boot. It's called the horseshoe ring.

POST 9Original post

I think that the horseshoe does come off. I have been trying to remove my tequipment gear lever and in the process have partially pulled off the horseshoe from the gaiter/boot.It is held in by a series of circular pegs that slot in to holes in the gaiter and its base. You aint got anything to lose if you damage it as you try and pull it out-you sound like you have committed yourself to a newish one anyway. If you get it off succcessfully then you can sand and paint it. Mine came off in one piece purely by accident.

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I am ordering it from Carnewal. Thanks!
