Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi, I'm new to this forum and to the whole Porsche culture. I've been browsing around for 996TT's lately. Have run across an early production 2001 996TT. June 2000 specifically. Can anyone tell me about any known issues with early production models? Like many people, I'm always nervous about buying the first year of a new model, especially something that is 'early' in the first year's production. Any information, advice, tips, things to 'look for' when buying, would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help, Andy

POST 2Original post

Hey Andy, My August '00 Turbo now has over 147'000 km and is still running strong. Had a few minor issues, but really nothing serious. Now it seems it has a very small leak in the engine cooling system, but my mechanics had a look at it and it's gonna be an easy fix. More details here: http://www.911turbo.com/feature/2003-12/index.php Good luck and greetings! --Pierre
