Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I've used my 01 C4 as a daily driver for 3 years now, the average MPG is about 18 (lots of city driving into Manhattan) and I think that's amazing.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi all, I am just wandering and want to admire Porsche's good job. My 996C4s manual is running about 20 mpg. Considering the following fact: a true sport car with 320 HP, 0-62 about 5.0 sec. Well, my Audi Allroad 2.7T tip with 250HP 0-62 about 7.6 sec. is running 17.5 to 18.0 mpg. According to recent motor week test drive of a GT3 on Speed TV. The tested GT3 was running 19 mpg (380HP, 0-62 4.3 sec.)! I should use my C4s as my daily drive car and Allroad as my weekend toy
How about your story?
If my OBC reads correctly, between 20 and 29 mpg. Yup I typically get 29 mpg at 75mph on a 200 mile trip to London each month. Ordinarily my meter says 24.5. It rarely goes below 23.
Now if only fuel was as cheap in the UK as it is in the US.....
18.1mpg daily driver.
70% on city streets.
Used to drive the same streets - much less aggressively - in a 740iL... 18mpg!
A 996 is a lot more fuel efficient than your average luxury tank.
I get about 20 MPG average with a mixture of interstate and city driving. The reason that our cars get better fuel mileage than others with comparable or lesser horsepower is because of lower weight. Compared to the average luxury car, ours weigh about 1000 pounds less!
I've got about 10,600 on the clock and I average 13 or so mpg. The average is dragged down by my track days. I get about 7-8 mpg on those tanks of petrol!! Highway miles are about what you guys are getting!
21mpg on the street, 29 on the highway, mixed driving between 24-27mpg.
For some reason, VW and Audis get horrible gas mileage. I thought the 5 valve per cylinder would help but it seems to hurt it more then it helped.
Are you guys driving the damn car or just looking at the ladies??!?! ;-)
I get about 15 mpg on my usual lead foot, but on occasion, I've seen 11 mpg. I usually drive around at 4K rpms and have barely seen more than a total of 500 miles on 6th gear in 11K miles, hehehe.
During track days, I see about 6 mpg.
