Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Saw this on eBay and it's local, you might want to check the wing out before you buy it...

Additionally, the Grand Am cup series rules required 996 Mk II drivers use the taco rather than the Mk II wing.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

tell me about it. it may not produce as much downforce as the later wings, but its just soooooo purdy. I used to be all obcessed with aerokitII and even doing the headlight conversion, but after looking at Mr. C4's GT3 and screameleon's 996 i just said: yeah wow..leave it...the taco is gangster.

How's Peter? Is he having too much fun out there?

The funny thing is that when I first read Steven's comment, I replied with the 3 "rollies." After I posted my reply, I scrolled down and read your reply to him, with 1 measly "rollie" so I had to edit my post and add the comment.
easy there calicoupe. there is NO WAY you are going to be able to sanitize a thread to be exactly pertaining to YOUR wants at all times. You thread title says it all and if somebody has one they will contact you.
I second the motion for additional discovery on the wing search. Maybe Dayton of DPS will be ready to share his upcoming special and that will include an OEM taco wing
I priced a new one from porsche and they told me the wing alone was $4800.
The entire Aero Kit, including the rear decklid and wing, with the side skirts, front bumper and rear bumper additions was $4600?
Go figure
Just bought this wing today. Can't wait to get it on my car. I bought the bumber and side skirts last spring. Gpt those from DPS at a great deal. but couldn't see buying the wing at double the rest of the price I paid. DPS didn't carry the wing. This seems like a great deal, hopefully not too great.
I think it will improve the look, notwithstanding any aerodynamics issues I have subjected myself to for the past year. Never noticed a problem though. Can't wait to re-post this profile

The Taco Wing showed up today, Thanks larry. Anyone know a good shop on NE or E side of Atlanta? I don't want the same guy who did my front bumper and skirts. I had an insurance type shop do it because of wife's Q45 getting sideswiped on interstate. He did great fixing the quarter panel on the Q, but really bad on the Aero front bumper. So bad I have just waited until I got the wing and have someone else to fix his mess.
$1725 seems like a good deal. I figured they go for about $2000. I would hate to have to buy a new one, and i figure that any time someone sells one they go for a pretty penny.
I am wondering... will the MkI kit / Taco wing fit a post face lift 996? I have a 2002 C2. I like the taco wing better than the MkII wing.
Will it also be functional at the track if I get the whole kit (front, side, back, etc)?
JimB probably has more experience with that than anyone else on this board.

He Club Raced a MK I 996 that he converted to a Mk II (he changed the engine and front end) for several years. As you can see he ran with a MK II aerokit front and the Mk I sideskirts and Taco wing. He was very successful with this combo. Additionally, the Grand Am cup series rules required 996 Mk II drivers use the taco rather than the Mk II wing.
Based on this racing usage I suspect you would be very safe mixing a Mk II aerokit front and sideskirts with a taco wing.
