Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Have folks had the issue of your leather dash bubbling up ?? I just got my car back, after 3 weeks at the bodyshop...that's another story, and noticed the dash in the center facing the hood, has started getting bubbles in the leather. I'm under warranty, but if not I'd imagine this is a pricy fix... By the way...after 3 attempts to get my paint work right, the bodyshop finally did it right. As a matter of fact it's sick good...!!! Patience, something that comes with age seems to have paid off...of course my constant pressure had some affect as well.. I'll post a before and after, with the new Aero front and sides.. Phattey...aka Ronny

POST 2Original post

There have been posts on this before, the warranty should cover fixing the bubbling leather...

POST 3Original post

I'm experiencing the same exact problem. I had my car in for service last week and the dealer will replace the dash under warranty. I suspect the cause was in part due to the leather conditioner I used. When it sat in the sun, it shrunk the leather.

POST 4Original post

What leather conditioner did you use.... Please don't say Griot's, I just did my leather with that on the weekend!

POST 5Original post

I used meguiars wipes. i don't think the brand or formulation was the issue as was the simple fact that the leather went from being bone dry to hydrated state. The bubbling occurred 2-weeks after I applied the conditioner.
